Bonds is busted
I'm guessing that everyone heard about Bonds being indicted for perjury and obstruction of justice.  Hopefully he'll never play again.  I'd love to see his records stricken from the record book but that probably won't happen.  Hopefully his reputation is at least marred and no one gives him any credit for anything.

Bonds would have been an automatic first ballot hall of famer if he had never used steroids.  He would have probably been one of the ten best players ever as well (as much as I've always hated him, I must admit this is true).  Now he may not ever make the hall of fame and might to go prison.  I hope he gets whatever he deserves.

i think if he is found guilty then there is a good chance that his record will be wiped because of the nature of the way he got those home runs.i'm sure i remember an interview about 2 years ago when he was closing in on top spot that if bonds was found guilty of any charges (if it ever went to court) that the mlb assocation would have to review the matter and there was a good chance his name would be taken off the hall of fame board.

which in my oppinion should be the case. why should bonds go above babe ruth and Hank Aaron when he clearly had to cheat to get there.did these 2 top men use steroids to get to there total home runs.no i don't think so.

As far as I know neither Hank Aaron or Babe Ruth cheated to hit their home runs.  There is the matter of who Babe Ruth played against that can be debated over.  He played in an era where black players were not allowed to play in the major leagues.  Now this can be debated as far as how many home runs would Babe had hit if he had to face black pitchers and would someone have hit more than him (Josh Gibson perhaps).  However I wouldn't use the argument against Babe personally because it was an issue that baseball itself created.  Bonds is guilty for something he did himself while Babe may have avoided those factors without having any control over the situation at all.

Now everybody is gettin busted too, I am pretty sure about 50 % of these dudes (especially nowadays) have taken some kind of enhancement drug or something.  Back in the day you never know, but people didnt care, they had love for the game. Now its all about who has the the best promoting, and who makes the most money, and somewhere it all got lost.

thats one opinion anyway
