Detroit With a Bad Start
The Red Wings started with two games in Sweden, and lost them both. It appears that they may have a problem in net as they give up nine goals in two games. Where will they go, though, if they have to find a new goalie?

I'm definately not a Red Wings fan, but I am suprised by their slow start (even though it's only three games long).  I wouldn't be suprised if they make it to the finals for a third year in a row, to play against the Penguins again, but they seem to be declining more & more every year.  They have BIG problems in net if Osgood can't continue the form he showed in last years playoffs and if Howard turns out to be a huge waste of a young goalie.  They could pick someone up during the year (if anyone is available at the time).  It was probably a bad idea to let Conklin get away but I guess Holland wanted to give Howard a chance to play backup.

They seem to be doing better since arriving back in North America. It is as if they partying too much in Sweden.

Could have been a slow start due to travel or something else.  I think it could be more than that.  Either way it was only two games at the beginning of the year.  Not that bad for the short term.  Let's see if the problems affect them long term though.
