Discipline with the mind.
Hi!

Any type of sports is the best way to learn discipline.  The training that everyone undergoes not only help players/athletes improve in their sport but it also helps them with their personal lives.  Of course, with the proper guidelines on how to become healthy and active with the game gives leverage to of doing their best.  This is a reminder for myself also.  What are the various disciplining points we each can adapt from different sports?

How about the stressed, steroid using,  and alcoholic athletes that beat the crap out of their wives.... It takes a dicipline to hold on to the bag of oranges while you beat her as to not leave any bruises

So many to mention., One would be commitment especially if you are part of a team. Your role matters, no tantrums are allowed as you play the sport. It would ruin the game plan set by the majority or the coach. I believe commitment means going through with the sport even if you know you are already losing the game. Its the obligation of a player to be a player until the game is over.

One point in disciplining through sport is endurance especially on footbal. The strength here is of great need but the endurance on the game is also to consider. As the game is coming to its end, you become exhausted one need to be on the field.

Indeed, sports allow you to learn discipline in various ways. One would be simply following the rules of the game. It is such a standard that games has its own set of rules and when this are violated you play it dirty which would somehow disqualify you as an athlethe. Real atheletes play fair and square.

It takes a lot of discipline to not get angry during the middle of any game...you have to stay patient

Truly difficult. Especially if you are dealing with not so fair opponents. It makes you wanted to do the same and this is where discipline starts. You have to be tame and calm as you go through the tough times of the game.

If everyone would just calm down and accept things as it comes (in a game) then every game would have the true essence of sport. iWe can't as well blame them, maybe the monetary reward and fame would force them to really win.

With sports, training is always a must and from there discipline is already being practiced. One must be consistent during practices because it is there that one is able to improve the performance of the sport and be able to develop strategies for the game.

For me, having some sport doesn't just give an individual an entertainment or enjoyment. The main purpose of every game is for a person to develop a sense of discipline. Most especially being patient in every risk that a person may take.

It's true that you need to develop patience if you're into a sport. But I think, being patient goes with the word respect. Because you can't be a patient if you don't treat your opponent with good attitude and respect.
