MMA Help
Hey yall, so if you have read my posts before you know i am fairly knowledgable about my sports.  I will have to admit that i don't know a whole lot about MMA or UFC.  Can anyone offer me insight into who is good and bad or how matches should go?

If you really want to see what makes the UFC so popular try and see the Machida vs. Shogun fight on PPV or other channels this Saturday May 8.   If you think it is anything like the WWF or similar “shows” then think again.  The UFC (see www.ufc.com) is the real thing with no staged punches or throws.  Is basically one glorious mix of boxing, muay thai, karate, wrestling, jujitsu, etc.

It's hard to just say who is good and who is bad, it's like basketball or something. There is tons of upsets, when picking MMA it is always a toss up and it makes it interesting. If you are completely oblivious to UFC though, I suggest going to UFC.com and watching a few front page videos before each event and they usually show the fighter everyone thinks will win. Hope this helps.

You’re wrong about UFC being the real thing Malcolm.  It’s only 99.9% real.  The 0.1% is fairy Josh Koscheck the frigg’n drama queen.   He may have beaten Paul Daley but the replays showed that the “knee kick” at the end of the first round never landed – yet there was Koscheck down on the floor clutching at his eye!  And then there was that after-fight speech about the Pittsburg Penguins thrashing the Habs.   He should be kicked out of the UFC and go to the WWWF.
