We have been thinking and talking a lot about the whole concept of InsideNation and the value of Coins. Some new members may have a hard time understanding the true value of a Coin, and the fact that they need to go to a store to see how many Coins their favorite prizes cost, etc. So, I am looking for some feedback on a new idea I had.

What if ...

- We got rid of the IN Store 100%

- We added a "Cashout" page where you can trade your Coins for real money once you reach a certain level (maybe 2,000+ Coins)

- Every Coin had a set value of 1 cent ($.01)

Would this method be better or worse? And why?

Yes, I do think we should have no store... basically cold hard cash is nice. You get X amounts of coins you get X dollars, it works for me! I still think tho we should have a store for InsideNation merchandise (once and if we get some) so if someone want a t-shirt or something he can buy it, otherwise you just cashout money and go buy whatever you want.

Well, why not have both?  You can just remove the cash from the store and make the cash in page... and keep the other things, and people could choose what they want.

I just don't like the store, so yeah i'm 100% for it!

...

If you want an xbox 360, you should get one. But, my whole point is, why not cash out the money and then buy yourself the xbox 360 at a store near you or online? At least this way, you get 100% freedom to buy what you want with the money you win.

Well , i live in brazil so here is  the current price for a Xbox 360.

something around $950.
well online costs 33 k points $330?
thats a good deal. Cashouts not a good point unless... there is a advantage corveting points to cash, like i said on the last post.

I understand now ... what if we provided a service for our members where we can use your Coins to buy anything you want us to and mail it to you? We could offer something like that.

The point is, you shouldn't be limited to buying an XBox. You should be able to buy whatever you want, with YOUR money. What if we remove the XBox from our store? Then what?

To me, it just seems so much better if you can use the money on anything you want.

This pre set purchases like ( xbox 360 ps3 travel tickets etc) are very atrractive for anyone, i think its a good way for players get movitaved and set their goals for reaching a certain number of coins and users willl have their goals for betting on your website( like a travel to las vegas nevada, Like my xbox 360 ) .

I dont know about the shipping terms , supliers, delivering process,  so if this is the real problem for insidenation just cut it off the pre set stuff and make it coins for real cash,  but i think it would be great having the 2 options avaiable. Cash out and the products.

The big issue with electronics is region encoding.  Although you could win an XBOX 360 on IN, it will be regioned to the USA.  If you are in Eurpoe, any games that you purchase will not work on that console.

Plus, you have to consider aquisition costs that might be added into the final price of an item in the store like sales tax, incoming shipping and outgoing shipping charges.  Plus, every item would be brand new -- meaning retail prices for acquisition.  You could cash out your coins, buy the same product (perhaps on sale at a local retail outlet) and it *could* be cheaper for you in the long run.

Just a few things to keep in mind...

I personally don't like it much ... I would rather have items in the store that I can buy with Coins only. I don't want to spend my money on buying things, I'd rather just spend my Coins :)

Just remove the IN store and put Cash out or withdraw...

The idea is great, just give the freedom to people to buy whatever their hearts desire. I come to this site everyday and I see on the right side that a lot of people win coins, but how many have actually won enough to get a 360 or iPod touch and so on? I am guessing only a few, atleast with the change - a lot more people would be making Cash Out and it might even draw some people in to join, the reason I say that is...

I enjoy sites like these but sometimes it's ridiculious how long you have to stay and play to actually win 20$ or just small object, that's kind of how this store is - unless your lucky that is. :P The new coin Cash Out would be great for the less unfortunate and the people who don't play it as often. I am for the new Cash out, looking forward to see what you decide.

And just throwing it out there, if you still can't decide - just hold a poll for people to vote on which one?
