Will Joe Johnson regret going on the open market?
Joe Johnson reportedly turned down a four-year $60 million extension from the Hawks before the season started.   Presumably he thought he could do better on the open market in the summer.  That doesn’t look to have been too smart a move given his current form in the playoffs.  For four straight games now, Johnson is shooting 33 percent and the Hawks have struggled because of that.  Surely he must know the scouts are keeping an eye on the playoffs and figuring out how much they are prepared to offer players on the market.

I have to agree, he MUST improve his play over the remaining games he has in the playoffs or he might be ''begging'' the Hawks to reconsider an offer, which will probably be lower. I would not be surprise to see this guy accept a huge contract with a sucky team and then cry he's not winning games anymore etc. Athelete should always think about that, making a big paycheck and losing 50 games a year isn't that fun after all. We shall see what he will do.

Yes, if he is playing to be a loser, he surely will be a loser.  He should keep an eye on how he plays to avoid him being avoided by teams also.  He is good, he should be.

I think the Bulls should have really reached out to him.  If they could have put him with Lebron and maybe Boozer if they could make room that would have been unreal.  Maybe that could have made Lebron want to go there more because really they don't have any pure shooters.
