New Idea For Pickem
Here are some ideas on Pickem that we would really like to hear your feedback on....

1. Changing it from chasing players on a Leaderboard, to making it tiered.  It would mean no weekly Leaderboard and trying to get a certain level to cash out for real money.  Instead of points we would be giving you say $100 to bet with.  You would be able to make any type of bet just like a sportsbook. The goal would be to reach a certain amount of $$$$ before you can cash out for real money.  If you lost your points, you would start over with a set amount the next day.

Ultimately there would a Leaderboard showing how the members are doing and showing their results but the main challenge is just on you reaching a certain level.  This could eliminate the problem of member that can't make it the site everyday and chasing someone on a leaderboard.

Please let us know your thoughts or questions on this.

I like it!

Personally, the leaderboard challenges can get very tiresome because you have to actively participate each day in order to get to the top.  This way, I can take a few days off OR wait until the games I actually want to wager on.

Then we can do no bet limits, parlays, etc!

I have a few questions, though:

1. What is the "VIP Benefit" for a challenge like this.  I'm a VIP member and earned it, how will it differ from a basic user?

2. Will there be some limit to the amount you can cash out?

3. Will there be any prizes on the "overall" leaderboard?  Say, for players who have the best win percentage or balance?

Good thinking!  Really looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts.

I think it's a good idea, maybe it could be an addition/separate to the current format?  I do like picking every day and doing a little research on the sports I'm not sure about..  However I'm happy to try whatever you guys come up with :)

Well, there really wouldn't be a leaderboard.  It would probably be something like... once you build your bankroll high enough you could cashout those poitns for coins.

Something like this (by the way, this is for ILLUSTRATION PURPOSES ONLY, these don't reflect any thinking, just me showing you the concept)

Starting: 100 points

Payout Tiers:
Once you reach 1000 points, you can cashout 50 coins
Once you reach 2500 points, you can cashout 250 coins
Once you reach 5000 points, you can cashout 1000 coins
etc...

We could do a VIP Leaderboard, thought, not sure.  But the idea here is once you cashout, you are back to 100 points starting.  So you can "risk" by trying to get to the higher tiers or be "safe" and cashout once you are able to.

The only issue I see is we are going to have a large portion of players coming on each day with their 100 poitns and making wild bets.  The idea here is to do "fantasy betting" or "mock sportsbetting" where you can really enjoy the excitement of wagering on sports without any risk.

But, this is nice, too, because you personally don't have to worry about these types of players.  You aren't playing them for spots on a leaderboard, you are managing your own points and buildilng up your own bankroll enough to cashout.
