Tiger and the future
What is your prediction as to where Tiger will be at by the end of next season?  As we all can see golf is only part talent the rest is mental for sure.

I don't think he'll win a major this year, but he could easily prove me wrong.  I'll admit that I am actually a Tiger hater.  I just can't stand when the media now rushes to make the best current players in sports better than the greatest players, before the current stars have done anything to earn it.  Jack Nicklaus is the best golfer ever.  This will be a fact until Tiger surpasses Jack's accomplishments.  The same goes for Lebron James and Kobe Bryant (when it comes to being better than Jordan).  I honestly don't think Kobe will do enough but will be closer than James.  I think James is an ultra talented, physical freak of nature.  However, I don't think he's anywhere close to his physical talents when it comes to his mental and emotional make up.  He may never get there in those areas.  He didn't play in a college system, where he would have learned certain fundamental skills that highschool wouldn't have taught, and he was given so much media attention at such a young age.  He doesn't know what it's like to EARN the praise & glory of being a superstar because it was his before he even played in the NBA.  I can't wait for the day that some 10 year old in a little league game (for whatever sport) is called the next great for his sport.

Iveyleague i could not agree with you more on the basketball side of your argument. I think that Kobe is as close as anyone to being compared to Jordan in talent.  Lebron could be there but he does not have a shot.  Once he gets that and starts accomplishing other things then he can be put into the talks.  As for golf Tiger is one of the greatest to play the game of golf.  He may or may not beat Jack's record in majors but Tiger is competing against better competition.  Golf is now more world wide and the competition has increased dramatically.  Even if Tiger does not win again he will still be one of the greatest!
