USA almost shoots own foot, again!
USA tops Algeria 1-0 to advance in World Cup.

Well, I dont know if the its just the dramatic finshes or if team USA has been lucky overall, but it has been a roller coaster ride.

Team USA almost botched another game with a goal early on that was called back due to an offside, this time the ref had a quick and legit reason for the goal takeaway.

The best player on the US National team confirmed his place as the best player in U.S. history at the moment when his team and his country needed him most. Thanks to a lightning-quick stoppage-time counterattack started and finished by 28-year-old Landon Donovan, the Americans overcame an amazing series of earlier misses and their Algerian opponents to win 1-0, and advance to the World Cup's round of 16 as the winners of Group C.

That was an unreal goal.  One of the most exciting i have ever seen!  So happy that he made it and push the Americans in the background, now we get to see all the Americans who wouldn't pay 2 cents to attend a soccer game hop on the bandwagon.

What a play by the keeper to start that break!!!  In sports it is interesting because teams that get lucky breaks and face adversity seem to always end up in the final or at least close to it.  They have had two unreal breaks and one bad one.  Could it be America's year???
