What is worse NFL or NBA Preseason?
Personally I think the NBA preseason should not even happen. Or they should have some fun tournaments like they do in college that mean a little something.  These guys practically play year round anyways what do they need a preseason for.  Lets get this thing started!

In my opinion NBA players should rest more, because they have a longer and tougher season than NFL players.

A longer season yes, but not necessarily tougher... I'm just about the only person on Earth who likes the NFL preseason, but for die hard fans I feel like it's a great way to see what kind of depth you have and you get to see all of the 53 men on your team get actual playing time and experience. I for one DO NOT want to see the last two preseason games eliminated to make room for two more regular season games. 16 games is a good amount, we don't need two more...

I like the preseason. It allows you to see the depth of your team. I don't watch all the games but I do watch the games that feature the Niners. They are rebuilding and you get to see the talent that they bring in whether it be free agent or through the draft. There are also more than the 53 that you mention as they have to cut players to reach the minimum. The only thing is that their talent is measured against another team who are looking at the same thing. That's why most people hate the preseason. Basically, you're looking at players that won't be on the team. Anyone who is playing in the fourth quarter are your at risk players. With that being said, most will watch the third game where the starters actually make an appearance.

Even though a lot of the preseason guys don't play in the regular season that year there still a big part of the team and that experience and practice can help them in the furture when they actually will see some minutes in the regular season.

I could be wrong about this, but I think any sport's preseason has more to do with money than actual preperation.  Maybe it wasn't like that years ago, but it seems to be the case now.

I disagree, if it were about money then they wouldn't be pushing for an 18 game regular season... If they cut down on preseason games and add more regular season games then you can say that move is about money

I don't remember hearing the exact reasons why the NFL wants to add two regular season games.  Please enlighten me on this if you could.  As far as preseason games not taking place to make the team money.  You do know that you can't go to a preseason game for free, right?  If the money didn't matter, they would either have only a couple games or maybe even none at all.

The NFL wants to expand the season so they can make more money, basically. I mean, don't get me wrong it's more complex than that, but the bottom line is the owners are trying to squeeze two more games out of these players, maximizing profits through ticket sales and t.v. rights, without paying them much more than they are now. It's a pretty big deal and honestly I wish the players would stand together on this one and just say NO to an 18 game schedule.... It's the age old conflict between millionaires and billionaires
