According to Magic, they're going to just blow the whole thing up. Maybe like Bynum and Odom/Gasol in some kind of package deal for Howard. I think they should also try to move Artest. He's old and to inconsistent, especially on offense. They need to get younger and more athletic.

The Heat are definitely rolling right now, but damn I would hate it so much if they won. They just disposed of the Celtics and it looks like Rose and the Bulls are up next. If they do beat the Bulls, I'd love to see a 2006 NBA Finals rematch with the Mavs. I just hope the results are different this time around.

Depends on how good Mike Brown actually is. Was it Lebron who carried the whole Cavaliers organization on his back? Was Mike Brown one of the members of the team (coach) that Lebron couldn't rely on?
I think Mike Brown is probably, at worst, a decent head coach. He has a good team in the Lakers, but let's see what changes they make. I might not pick them to win a title next year, but I'm guessing they will still make the playoffs, and be tough to beat.

I was shocked by Brown's hire, not because I think he's a bad coach, but because he seemed to come out of no where. There was a lot of talk about Brian Shaw getting the job and rumors were circulating about guys like Tomjanovich and Van Gundy. Now Kobe's all upset because he wasn't consulted about the hiring. It should be interesting, but if they don't make a few trades I can see this whole scneario ending in a train wreck.

I didn't hear his name either... Not even in long-shot rumor postulation. I mean they were even talking about Doc Rivers if he decided not to resign his contract in Boston.... And you know what, come to think of it, I don't remember hearing Mike Brown's name even mentioned for any of the other open jobs, like Houston or Golden State.
