Eagles New NFC Favorites?
The Eagles have made some major moves in the days since the lockout was lifted. Do you guys think that will put them ahead of Green Bay as favorites to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl? I'm not too sure either way, but I definitely think those are the best two teams in the conference by a fairly wide margin.

I think that the Packers still have the edge. The Eagles have made a ton of moves, but with the Packers getting all their injured players back from last season, it's almost as if they've got a bunch of new talent as well. It's just really hard to find any holes on the Packers roster. Their D-Line is definitely the weakest link but in a 3-4 defense playing in a pass happy league I feel like Big BJ Raji and Clay Matthews can get by with pressuring opposing QBs.

I would still put Green Bay ahead of Philadelphia, but I do like what the Eagles did so far in the off season.

On the other side, I think that New England may win it all this year if Haynesworth gets back to resembling the player he was before Washington.  I like the addition of Ochocinco to an already loaded offense as well.

My prediction is Green Bay over Philly in the NFC title and New England over Baltimore in the AFC. And I think you all can guess who I'm taking in the Super Bowl, Green Bay baby! Back-to-back champs with a surprisingly comfortable 34-21 victory. I don't think New England matches up that well with the Packers. I'm just so excited that the NFL season is almost here!!!

I have liked the Patriots for a while now (though they aren't my favorite team in the league), but I kinda like the idea of Green Bay winning again.  Green Bay is a good football town, and they are a historic team.  Also, it's nice to see a kid like Aaron Rodgers succeeding after being buried behind Favre for so long.  If it's true that Favre basically tried to sabotage the kid's career, then I hope Rodgers wins a lot more (just to stick it to the old man).

I feel like Green Bay has the most underdog aura of any team that is consistently playing for titles. That small town atmosphere and old school tradition makes them always feel like the little brother. Of course there results make them look like the big brother.

The Eagles added another off season acquisition to their huge list. They got WR Steve Smith from the Giants. All of my friends are saying I should be scared, but when was the last time that the NFL team that won the off season actually won the Super Bowl? It just seems like these teams that get thrown together like this are never as dangerous as guys who play together as a team, have chemistry and have grown in the system side-by-side.

I think the Eagles have made some good additions to their team (though they may have some problems with Jackson & Samuel now), but I don't think they did anything that makes them the clear favorite to win the NFC.  I probably wouldn't be suprised at all if they made it to the NFC Championship game, but I could see Green Bay winning if they are even better this year.  At the same time, I still think New England's additions were better than what the Eagles did.  I think New England may have set themselves up for a Super Bowl appearance with the moves they made.

I agree with Ivey. Quality not Quantity. The Patriots filled two huge needs. If I were to pick my favorites to win it all it would look like this:
1. Green Bay
1a. New England
2. Philadelphia
