Boxing Fans: Who do you think is the greatest boxer ever?

I'd say Ali was the greatest at heavyweight. Pound for pound greatest is probably "Sugar" Ray Robinson. Henry Armstrong and Willie Pep are possible considerations for that title as well. Floyd Mayweather Jr. isn't even close to being the greatest at any weight class.
Hehe I couldn't say it better man .... and of course Mayweather can start singing with 50Cents if he wants :P

lmao don't you think he lost his fight against Oscar de la Hoya?? even his father said it! all he done was hit and block (I mean run) he never attacked

I didn't see the fight but I heard it was closer than Floyd would have liked it to be. Honestly, I didn't even really care about that fight. I wanted Oscar to win and thought MAYBE he had a little bit of a shot to do so. I'd much rather see Floyd in with the best competition he can face. That's why Floyd will never be as great to knowledgeable fans as he thinks he is. He fought good competition at 130 and 135 but hasn't really since. Some of the fights he could take that would be good for his legacy would be Hatton at 140, any one or more of Cotto/Margarito/Cintron at 147, or even Ouma/Mosley at 154. Mayweather is one of the most gifted fighters I've ever seen and one of the biggest cowards at the same time. It's got to be fear that keeps him from fighting any of those fighters (maybe not fear of the fight with them but fear that he could lose to one of them).
