USA Gives Up Late Goal in 1-0 Defeat to Ecuador

The Jurgen Klinsmann era has begun with a sputter. Ecuador was the latest top top the Americans with a 1-0 victory on Oct. 11. The loss dropped the US to 1-3-1 since the former German star took over in July and the team has scored an unimpressive two total goals in the five game stretch. The latest loss came amidst a performance that saw the US outshoot Ecuador 18-5 in an aggressive match they appeared to be dominating. At least until the 79th minute when substitute Jaime Ayovi beat keeper Tim Howard and headed the ball into the back of the net.

The US will have until June's World Cup Qualifying to correct their issues. Make all of your soccer picks here at InsideNation.
