USA's Late Goal Forces Draw With Mexico


The United States new men's soccer coach, Jurgen Klinsmann, had a tough task in his first appearance on the international stage, end the three game losing streak to Mexico. Klinsmann's team fell behind early and headed into the half facing a 1-0 deficit. Klinsman made a number of changes that sparked the US offense, including a substitution that put forward Robbie Rogers into the game. Rogers evened the match in the 73rd minute on his first touch. The US had a number of other scoring opportunities but could not cash in. While the US did not win, they did put a halt to their three game slide against Mexico.
